Alaska Airlines, headquartered in Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, is all set to add new nonstop flights to its international route. From 2025, Alaska will operate daily flights from Seattle to Tokyo and Seoul. Starting May 12th, Alaska will fly directly from Tacoma International to Tokyo Narita, while flights to Seoul Incheon will commence operations in October 2025.

As Alaska Airlines has an alliance with Hawaiian Airlines, it will use Hawaiian aircraft for these long-haul flights.

The CEO of Alaska Air Group, Ben Minicucci, shared his views, stating that this direct connectivity to two of Asia's most dynamic cities is to offer passengers a seamless travel experience for international travel. They are thrilled to provide convenient connectivity to Asian and other international destinations.

Further extending its service, the airline will operate nonstop flights to 12 international destinations. Alaska's 2030 plan includes enhanced connectivity between the Pacific Northwest and Asia. More flights will operate from Seattle–Tacoma International Airport on major international routes.

Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines have expanded their partnership, which has also helped reassign new routes. Soon after the pandemic, Alaska noticed a decline in the Honolulu and Tokyo Narita routes. The airline then decided to use Hawaiian aircraft to serve the new extended route. The airline has also planned to increase its Honolulu-Tokyo Haneda service, adding flights from 12 to 14 per week.

Alaska Airlines' extension plan also includes major US domestic routes between the mainland U.S. and Hawaii. There will be a 20% increase in seat capacity for the Seattle-Honolulu route and a 25% increase in seating capacity for the flight between Portland and Honolulu. New routes from San Francisco to Kona and L?hu'e will also be announced soon, expanding travel options to the Hawaiian Islands.
